If you would like to volunteer to serve on one of these committees, please contact us. We are always looking for additional help in carrying out the work of the Association. We find that members enjoy working together again on projects in thes committees.
Membership Committee: This committee works to find and encourage alumni to join the Association and through those activities find out what alumni would like to see the Association be and do, and thereby make the Association more successful. The committee has formed a subcommittee on Associate members--members who left EPA and have now returned or who still work for EPA but are elibigle to retire.
Oral History Committee: This committee is developing audio and video recordings of the history of EPA as told by our alumni.
Their work can be found on the History section of our website.
Communications Committee: This committee is working to make the communications between the Association and its members and between members as interesting and effective as possible, including through periodic newsletters, the website, Facebook, and oter social media.
Half Century of Progress: This committee has produced an electronic document laying out the last 50 years of progress in environmental protection and is developing and refining teachers' guides to the material. This document and a series of supporting documents, one for each major program area, are directed at high school and college students, in particular. These documents can be found under the History section of our website.
Relations with EPA: This committee developed an Memorandum of Understanding with EPA to encompass training and mentoring by alumni at EPA. Under this committee a number of training events have been presented and mentoring programs are under development.
Job Center Committee: This committee has created and is managing an on-line Job Center to help current EPA employees and alumni find new job opportunities in the environmental field. The Center can be found at jobs.EPAalumni.org
